The successful candidate will work as part of the organisation’s Fostering Service, to increase the recruitment of Foster carers.

Manage creative multimedia marketing and publicity campaigns to enable the department to meet its target in recruiting foster carers, whilst collating and managing information about the needs of looked after children and the types of carers needed to inform the recruitment strategy

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Maximise the department’s ability to recruit foster carers for looked after children in Brent.
  • Maintain the Fostering website pages ensuring they are updated as well as finding opportunities to increase usage.
  • Plan and organise recruitment events internally and externally with support from social workers and other team members.
  • Engage with foster carers to develop participation in recruitment campaigns to aid retention.
  • Work with other services and community groups to promote fostering within hard to reach groups.
  • Undertake surveys and research that will inform the recruitment strategy and aid retention of foster carers, in the form of customer service surveys and exit surveys on resignation. This also includes the collation of data and evaluation of marketing activities and events.
  • Produce monthly newsletters for fostering recruitment, including the gathering of information, article writing and production of audio-video assets.
  • Organise and coordinate events for carers such as Foster Carers Support Group and the monthly Fostering Information Evening.
  • Attend supervision, appraisals, team and section meetings.

Personal Requirements:

  • Knowledge of issues related to fostering marketing and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing practices.
  • Significant experience in selling, marketing including digital marketing, promotion and recruitment activities.
  • Experience of work within marketing, communications and/or public relations organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Packages, and other image/video editing software.
  • Ability to understand fostering in a local authority environment and its impact on the organisation’s children and young people plan.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Working Hours: 9:00am – 17:00pm / Mon – Fri

Salary: £39,264.00 + Benefits
